Piranha Rama Drift Through “A Door” On New Video

 In News

Local supergroup Piranha Rama is back again with another new song, one that’s breezy, twangy, and perfect for the seasonal change we’re (hopefully) about to encounter. In one sense, “A Door” is the latest bright preview from the band’s upcoming record Omniscient Cloud Cover, dropping September 30th via Brokers Tip Records. In another, it’s a grim reminder that today is not September 30th and we still have to wait to enjoy this entire record. Oh well.

“A Door” is a carefree song built on a gentle rhythmic gallop that’s colored by pastoral steel guitar slides and nodding bass notes. It’s a mellow jaunt that seems unassuming at first until you find yourself humming “go find another, go find another” hours later unprovoked. The video for the song, directed by Jawn Sizemore, showcases the band in swaying shots while they just strum along to the music, matching the relaxing audio with some happy-go-lucky scenes.

This is the third single from Piranha Rama’s upcoming Omniscient Cloud Cover record, after “Golden Blues” (link here) earlier this month and “Placate” back in August (link here). Each of those got their own accompanying video as well and all three singles together point to an upcoming record that’s going to dominate your playlists until the end of the year.

Check out the video for “A Door” below and mark September 30th on your calendar so you won’t forget to pick up a copy of Omniscient Cloud Cover, courtesy of Brokers Tip Records.
