Rico Bando Looks Upward On Video For “Man On The Moon”

 In News

Back in January, Rico Bando released “Man On The Moon,” a trembling single built on a glissading string melody and pensive observations. Recently, Bando decided to revisit the song’s shaky rhythms and somber tones with a new video capturing the isolated pathos of the song with some brief allusions to life above.

Shot and edited by local production group Blood Brothers, the music video finds Bando enjoying a day out on the James while still looking up to the heavens. As he performs his song, the camera sways and tilts wildly, pointing to the disorienting nature of life on the moon despite our fixation on what’s above. Animated flourishes pop up here and there to accentuate specific moments, but the video keeps the focus directly on Bando throughout and the introspective tale he’s spinning.
