NSG Monté Raises The Stakes With “My Year”

Call your shot. Manifest it. Set the blueprint before you ever take the first step. For some people, success comes through spreadsheets, five-year plans, and color-coded organization. For Richmond rapper NSG Monté, it comes from finding the right beat, stepping in front of the mic, and letting a flood of ambition and hunger spill out naturally, exactly as he does on his new single and video, “My Year.”

Over a booming beat and beckoning vocal loop, NSG Monté wastes no time staking his claim on 2026, delivering each bar with the easy confidence of a high roller sitting down at a new table to dominate. “Life is a gamble, you’s can’t be scared to risk\ Chess moves, ain’t playing no checkers,” Monté raps, framing success as something earned through calculation, confidence, and a willingness to bet on yourself before anyone else does. Even as he addresses the shifting perceptions surrounding his rise (“They said I’m too humble so I started talking my shit\ Then they switched up and said I got cocky“), the delivery never feels bitter.
