Racci The Don & Guap Boy Dez Check The Envy On “Pocket Watchin”

 In News

Despite decades of music, film, and media advising us to stay in our lanes, we can still feel everyone’s gaze on our every move. It’s enough to make us stop enjoying life’s material pleasures, whether it’s new kicks, a custom jacket, a fresh haircut, or even a celebratory night out. Hip‑hop duo Racci The Don & Guap Boy Dez have heard enough of this, spinning their irritation into a slick clapback on “Pocket Watchin,” a cutting new single paired with a recent entry in the Booth The Streets video series.

Shot by Hundo Made It in front of high-end retailer Saks Fifth Avenue (a locale referenced later in the lyrics), the song opens with Racci gliding over a laid-back beat before Dez steps in with deliberate lines–a flurry of jabs followed by deliberate body blows. “I started off with crumbs\ Now my sack a metric ton,” Guap boasts, a haymaker not meant to knock anyone out, but to redirect the obsessive attention back where it belongs… on the watchers themselves. The candid bars throughout and direct production help the duo to call out intrusive friends and casual acquaintances alike, delivering a sharp, no‑nonsense response to anyone keeping their eyes fixed too much on watching your bag.

“Pocket Watchin” is the first single from Racci The Don’s Minks & Links, an eight-track project released in May that also featured Guap Boy Dez on two tracks: “Off The Muscle” and “Lit Up,” the latter serving as the album’s second single. But their collaboration didn’t stop there. In April, Racci appeared on Guap Boy Dez’s Super GuapBoy EP, followed by even more features on Dez’s longer June record, Global Warning. Beyond album cuts, the duo has dropped a steady stream of joint singles throughout the year: “Feng Shui,” “Switch Hitting,” “Upgrade,” “Never End,” and most recently, “Hello.” With a growing catalog and undeniable chemistry, Racci and Guap Boy Dez have become a driving force behind Richmond’s underground output in 2025, and their run is far from over.
