Roll With The Punches Listening Party And Rebecca Porter Q&A

On Sunday, August 31, Révéler Experiences will host an intimate listening party for Roll With The Punches, the debut album from Appalachian recording artist Rebecca Porter. After years of carving out a name with her singular Americana voice and uncompromising identity, Porter has unveiled an eleven-track rallying cry for anyone who’s ever had to fight for their place in the world, especially those still in the thick of that battle. Resolute narratives of struggle, survival, redemption, and reclamation fill the record, delivered by Porter’s commanding voice and tender melodies that provide both comfort and strength at a crucial moment.

The special event will include an intimate album listening alongside a candid Q&A about the making of the record. Doug Nunnally of The Auricular will join Porter in exploring the album’s origins and themes, as well as its impact within both the Americana roots scene and the DIY community. Set against the one-of-a-kind atmosphere of Révéler in the heart of Carytown, this matinee gathering will spotlight exactly why Rebecca Porter has become a force to be reckoned with in Virginia’s vibrant music scene.
