VF Shaolin Manages The Haze On “Bigger Picture”
The grand scheme never stays clear, drifting through a fog of obscured vision and murky distortion that keeps us detached from any sense of forward motion as that sentiment flutters wildly through “Bigger Picture,” the new single and video from Richmond MC VF Shaolin.
“Heart been cold\ But it still hurt\ When it’s tore up,” he admits, balancing hardened resolve with a lingering vulnerability to life’s sharper turns. Shot by Mannysuniverse, the video mirrors the track’s atmospheric blur as the Mystic Trap Collective member flickers in and out of focus, his words remaining grounded at the bottom of the frame, cutting a path through the haze. It’s a well-defined contrast: even at his most defined, there’s still an intentional opacity to his presence.
“Bigger Picture” marks the third single from his late-2025 release Those Who Know, following “Sober Talks!” and “Have You Ever,” both of which also arrived with visuals. It was his second project of that year alongside The Other Side, with both records featuring frequent collaborators Melathono and Poppa Woppa. So far in 2026, he’s kept the momentum rolling with the four-track EP Good Problems alongside producer TooNice, and if the Mystic Trap Collective’s pace is any indication, there’s plenty more on the horizon.
