Bigg Jazz Commands The Circus On “Dismissive”

 In News

Life often feels like a precarious balancing act between vulnerability and bravado, constantly trying to determine when to lower your guard and when to move with unapologetic confidence. Choosing which side of yourself to lean into while walking the tightrope of the world’s circus can feel impossible at times, but when the moment calls for pure self-assurance, make sure to borrow some from Richmond’s Bigg Jazz, especially the kind she shows on her new single, “Dismissive.”

Welcome to my circus, baby\ I’m the ring leader now,” Bigg Jazz proclaims over a stomping beat produced by Milanmadeit, delivering each word with enough swagger to make confidence feel less like performance and more like instinct. Throughout the track, she directs that energy toward the object of her desire, turning flirtation into command. “I don’t exercise\ but he going to find the time to work me out,” she flows with playful wit, while lines like “He be melting in my buns like a patty melt” lean fully into the song’s teasing sensuality. Yet beneath the barrage of innuendo is a sharp lyrical presence that elevates the track beyond punchlines alone, with bars like “Put them straight to sleep like some codeine” landing with the kind of conviction that doubles as an alluring promise and a gauntlet thrown down at her peers.

The video, shot by A Day With Dyff, captures her charisma perfectly. Framed in an alleyway and accented by a striking red microphone against her monochrome bodysuit, Bigg Jazz commands every shot with animated spirit, transforming an otherwise plain setting into something magnetic and larger than life, much like she does throughout the booming track itself.

“Dismissive” opens Bigg Jazz’s recent Sh*t Talker with the same sharp-tongued confidence hinted at by the EP’s brassy artwork. Across its four tracks, Jazz draws fully from her saucy, self-assured energy, especially on the flirtatious “Oouu Aahh,” while tracks like “The Full Experience” and “My Time Is Coming” give her rhythmic instincts and lyrical personality room to stretch and breathe. Released this past January, Sh*t Talker is Jazz’s second EP following Alter Ego in 2025, and her third overall project after 2024’s debut album Soft But, Gee!. Between larger releases, she has stayed busy over the years, building momentum through standalone singles like “Let Me Know” and “Emotionally Unavailable,” suggesting there is still plenty more to come from Bigg Jazz before 2026 winds down.
